Message I paid full asking price because I really wanted the car and it was in excellent condition. I bought mine from the original owner, he kept it in excellent condition and I really don't think he was going to budge.

Condition: It had no rips, no tears, no wear spots, no rust. The only problems I could see were two fold. Some trim was faded (cowl and doors) and it needed a timing belt. Outside, no mods, excellent original paint, two door dings. Inside, no mods, perfect leather, every option worked. It drove perfectly.

Owner: The guy had every dealer receipt, a complete paper trail with mileage records, original paperwork, window sticker, all the keys, t-top bags, original floor mats in excellent condition. He kept the car garaged with a car cover when he owned it.

Options: The car had t-tops (that I really wanted), 5-speed, leather interior, newer tires, car cover, wheel locks, oem cd-player and all the options worked as the should have.

I was torn between a more used Twin Turbo for 4k-5k more but I knew I would not be satisfied with a "so-so" condition Z and that I would have ended up dumping a lot of money into it to make it look perfect. I'm anal that way.

I found that really good examples of Twin Turbos seem to cost between 13k-18k and I didn't want to spend that much on a car that I knew would sit 5 months out of the year and 5 days a week in good weather. I really just wanted a Z for weekends and possibly to track it down the road and I wanted to spend 10k or less but I didn't want that 10k to be a "starting point" on a project car that I couldn't drive immediately.

Sorry for the long post.
